Originally an art historian, Charlotte Rowe worked for many years in the creative and media industries in London and Sydney before gaining a post-graduate diploma in Residential Landscape and Garden Architecture at the Oxford College of Garden Design (Oxford Brookes University).
Her background in professional consultancy and client service gives her a special understanding of the importance of working closely with clients on the development of the design brief. This, combined with her years in the business world, has helped her develop a professional approach to the garden design consultancy business.
Charlotte Rowe won a Gold medal at the 2014 RHS Chelsea Flower Show for her show garden for the ABF Soldiers’ Charity, ‘No Man’s Land’, which marked the centenary of the outbreak of World War One. She has also won a number of awards in the annual Society of Garden Designers (SGD) industry awards including Best Small Residential Garden in 2015.
Charlotte speaks regularly on garden design at conferences, seminars and in colleges around the UK and overseas. She is supported by a small team of designers with a mixture of backgrounds including landscape architecture, horticulture and garden design.
Charlotte Rowe is fully accredited as a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, which is the only body representing professional garden designers in the UK. Charlotte Rowe Garden Design is also a registered SGD practice.
